Sheringham, Norfolk
Sheringham Beach Sauna
We built and ran this beach sauna on the East Promenade for years. From April 2026 it's in our friends' hands, now run by Sea Sauna Sheringham, and the fire keeps burning.
About Sheringham
A town that took to sauna.
Right on the promenade, steps from the North Sea: wood-fired heat, a cold plunge in the sea, and a community that turned up week after week. Watching a town take a sauna to heart is the whole reason we do this.
From April 2026 the Sheringham sauna is operated by Sea Sauna Sheringham. We're proud to have started it, and glad the tradition on this beach carries on. You can book sessions directly with them, and below you'll find other ways to sauna with us on the coast.

From the Sauna Box family
Sheringham was ours, a sauna we built and ran on the promenade until we handed it to friends who keep the fire going. We've been operators since the very beginning, and we're still at it: new community saunas opening in Diss and Bury St Edmunds. If a morning by the sea has ever made you think ‘I’d love to run one of these’, that's exactly what we help people do.
