Insurance & partners
Insuring your sauna business
Getting a commercial sauna insured is straightforward. Because we work with brokers who specialise in this area, your build is a known quantity to them, not something they have to puzzle over. Below: the cover you’ll typically need, what it costs, and the partners we can introduce you to.
The cover you’ll typically need
Public liability
Essential. Covers injury or damage to customers and the public.
Product liability
Covers the sauna itself as a product in commercial use.
Employers’ liability
Legally required only if you take on staff (even part-time).
Commercial vehicle / towing
For mobile units, towing cover on top of your vehicle policy.
Tell your insurer exactly how you operate, heat, water, public access, mobile or fixed, so you’re properly covered.
What it typically costs
Most horsebox operators get an annual quote of around £1–1.5k. The honest answer is that it varies by cover level, location and how and where you operate, so the brokers will quote it properly for your setup rather than us guessing a fixed figure.
Our insurance partners
We work with two specialist brokers. Ask us and we’ll introduce you.
Blythin & Brown
Specialist commercial broker. They know mobile saunas as a build, so cover is straightforward rather than something they have to puzzle over.
Beech Tree
Specialist broker we work with regularly. They’ll quote public, product and (if you employ a host) employers’ liability for your exact setup.
Speak to other owners
Numbers on a page only tell you so much. We’re happy to introduce you to operators already running sauna trailers, so you can get a first-hand read on the business before you commit.
Want an intro?
We’ll connect you with a broker, an owner, or both.
Indicative guidance, not financial, legal or insurance advice. Cover and cost are confirmed by the broker for your setup. For the full legal picture, licensing, health & safety and insurance, see our licensing & insurance guide.
